Production company research
Dimension films are the distribution company we have decided to use for are media production. After researching I first looked at the type of genres it’s released to see if they were similar to our film opening. As ours is a thriller/horror we needed a production company that releases similar films. Dimension has released such films as, Halloween 1995-2002, scream 1996-2000, 1408 2007 and Darkness 2002. All these films fit into the genre we are looking to capture and create ourselves. Having watched all of these films apart from Darkness I can see that these films will fit perfectly along-side ours. I feel Halloween fits in with ours in particular. The film is about a masked serial killer haunting people hunting down and killing them. The character in Halloween doesn't say anything and his identity is unknown throughout therefore I feel he is similar to the Monk in ours.
